Thursday – “All Carry”. Pretty naff start to 2026, with a fair bit due today 😒 Practice Ground Ball Collection this morning…. no Driving Range Closure later due to weather forecast. Daily setup Tasks. Course Blowing. Pathway TLC. Car Park works continues.

Wednesday – Status “All Carry”. 17 Main Green’s now. Frosty Setup. Fairway Divotting. Car Park works progressing well…. Should be wrapped up and all area’s open by end of play Friday 💪 Pot holes around paths getting some material. Some Tree work around the peripheral areas started later on.

Tuesday – Status “All Carry” Starting from the 10th. Some Greens are still on Temps, however as i type this, 2 more are on main greens from yesterday 😃 knife test successfull Some Greens still frozen below the surface. Knife test unsuccessful 😕 Greens Dew Removal. Pin Position’s moved…. been a while! Daily Setup Tasks….…

Monday – Status “All Carry” Some Greens on Main Greens… 1st, 2nd, 8th, 9th, 12th, 14th, 15th & 18th. The rest are still frozen just below the surface. Greens Dew Removal. Daily setup tasks. Lots of blowing in some area’s with pockets of stubborn leaves. Car Park works ongoing. Gravel Banding on the 13th Approach.

Sunday – Status “All Carry” 18 Temps in play. Greens still frozen below the surface in the danger area for detrimental root damage. The below picture shows how cold it has been at nights and even how low the day time Temperatures have been. “They must be thawed by now” i hear you say….. well,…

Saturday – Status “All Carry”, 18 Temporary Greens in play, Starting from 10th Tee. Geese are enjoying the frost… standing on the frozen pond! Green’s still frozen a few cm down. This stops the greens from draining and keeps the area above wet, which with traffic on them trashes the putting surfaces and shears the…

Friday – Status “All Carry”. Putting Green Closed and all 18 Greens on Temporary Greens due to frozen below the surface still. Setup task’s. Post and rope squared up. Machinery servicing & repairs. Digger with the Grab clearing up some debris around the Course. Car Park works.

Thursday – Course Status red Still slippy on the course in some area, all 18 Greens still on temps. Starting the day the day with the course getting a set up Range getting a early pick Fertilizer going out to help through the cold period Carpark work continues with another laod  turning up bright and…

Wednesday – Status Red. It’s super slippy out, even though it’s in the plus side of temperatures! Area’s have been gritted but awareness still needed when walking those at the Club. 16mm of rain yesterday, on top of frozen ground means we are squidgy and puddly while the water can’t drain away. 18 Temporary Greens…

Tuesday – Status Green…. 10th Tee Start, 18 Temps still in play. Minus 7 this morning! 🥶 Winter Setup…. Rock Salt area’s. Divoting where needed and on Fairway’s. Car Park Stone replacement started. Not the best start…. ground is putting up a fight… Solid! Academy French drain being tidied up. Strimming through the day.
