Jeremy – Head of Boys Coaching for England Golf 2015, has built a reputation as a `Performance Coach’ through results. He has worked with 4 multiple Major Champions, Seve Ballesteros, Bernhard Langer, Sandy Lyle and most notably Nick Faldo from 2002. He has coached numerous European Tour winners and taken 5 boys and 3 girls from raw amateurs to gaining European Tour cards. One of those young ladies is Amy Boulden, double Curtis Cup player and missing out by one place in this year’s Solheim Cup team having finished 18th in her first year on the European Ladies Tour and currently 8th in the order of merit.
He has also enjoyed `team’ success and helped create history as head coach with Surrey (2000-04), Team Faldo – including Rory McIlroy (2002-04), National Coach to Wales Ladies and Girls (2009 – 2014) and National Coach to England under 18 boys 2015.
Jeremy has 35 years of experience as a professional having been `Rookie of the Year’ in 1981 on the European Tour and went on to compete on tour for 12 years. Since then he has focused on becoming the ultimate coach with a vast depth of knowledge and experience.
He is one of only a few professionals in the UK to be awarded the status of `Advanced Fellow of the PGA.’ He is a `specialist’ in not only the golf swing itself but also putting, green reading, course strategy, optimising practice time and putting development and performance plan’s in place. His philosophy is if you can improve every time you practice and learn something every time you play you will be a happy and successful golfer!
He adapts his style of coaching to the ability and aspirations of each individual player, whatever their age or handicap. He coaches with patience and passion, making the learning of new skills enjoyable and fun.
Jeremy currently writes instructional articles for Golf International Magazine but has also written for Golf World, Golf Monthly and Lady Golfer.
