The sun shone brightly for the 94 golfers who braved the cold for the Turkey Trot at Windlesham GC on Sunday 4th December.  There were some very festive jumpers and headgear in evidence and some very good golf, which was helped along by Santa and his helper with a warming drink and some chocolates.  The golf was followed by a carvery lunch, prize giving and an auction for the reserved parking space.

The results are as follows:

1st Team Prize: Chris Kokaram, Mark Clements, Cavan Mallon and David Carr

2nd Team Prize: Stephen Osborne, David Calcutt, Malcolm Wells, and Andrew Fielding

3rd Team Prize: Karen Rankin, Linda Conway, Jeff Rankin and Cliff Conway

Nearest the Pin, Ladies (4th) – Anna Sokolova

Nearest the Pin, Men (14th) – Matt Brunt

Straightest Drive, Ladies – Jane Morgan

Straightest Drive, Men – Adam Reading

Best Festive Headgear – Julian Allen (pictured)

With thanks to Leigh Powell, all of the green keeping staff, the Golf Shop team, the restaurant and bar staff for a very enjoyable day, not to forget Santa & his helper and our photographer in residence – Tim.

Mick & Vic send their thanks also to the members for their generosity by raising £425 for the Scholarship Fund (reserved parking space, John Burton) and over £120 for the Children With Special Needs Foundation in raffle tickets for Maria (novelty knitted doll).  The raffle will be drawn at the Carols Evening on 7th December.
