Jeremy Bennett - has been a qualified PGA professional for 25 years. He represented England as an amateur before enjoying a successful playing career on the European Tour, being ‘Rookie of the Year’ in 1981. He gathered invaluable experience not by chance but being past down to him by such players as the legendary Sir Henry Cotton, Britain’s second most successful player. Our most successful player of course being Nick Faldo, which apart from competing against head to head, ironically coached with success for 3 years. Within weeks Faldo had a top 5 placing in the US Open, his best result in a major in 6 years and then challenged at the British Open to win his 7th major eventually slipping back to 8th. Jeremy improved all areas of his game, perhaps particularly his driving. He was almost the shortest hitter on tour, but turned that around to being past 50% of the field, combining that with often leading the driving accuracy stats. Other major champions he has coached include Seve Ballesteros, Bernhard Langer and Sandy Lyle. Different generations of players Jeremy has coached with a Midas touch include Paul Casey and up and coming Oliver Fisher. He has also enjoyed success with amateur teams, firstly guiding Surrey’s 1st Team to becoming national champions in 2000 and once again a few years later, a good recovery considering they had been in the wilderness for 21 years. Jeremy was recognised by Butch Harman as one of Europe’s top 20 coaches and invited to a conference to share new ideas and experiences of coaching with him and his brothers. Jeremy relishes working with enthusiastic players of all standards, his style of teaching is simple and effective, identifying quickly the areas of need and putting a development programme in place and then applying uncomplicated techniques to achieve results. Jeremy is forever looking to move the game forward and is soon to introduce a revolutionary training aid and pioneering book
